The 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) concluded in Shanghai, where China emerged as the top performer among young mathematicians from over 120 countries and regions. Demonstrating exceptional skill, the Chinese team achieved a perfect score, with each of its six members securing a gold medal. The United States claimed the second spot in the overall standings, while Russia and Singapore secured third and fourth places, respectively.
In total, the prestigious competition awarded 55 gold, 105 silver, and 189 bronze medals to participants. Additionally, 141 competitors received honorable mentions, recognizing their commendable performances. This year’s event highlighted the immense mathematical talent present worldwide, drawing attention to the potential of these young scholars.
